Simple ways to support the TNBC Foundation's mission in the month of October:

Patti Mioli of Cresskill, New Jersey spearheaded a simple but highly successful fundraiser at her children's elementary school. With the permission and support of the school's administration, the P.T.A. sent out an email to all parents announcing that October 3rd was Hat Day. For a $1 donation to the TNBC Foundation, students would be allowed to wear their favorite hat in school all day! By the end of the day on October 3rd, the school collected $507 to support the foundation's mission!

Those of you who have visited the TNBC Events section of our website may be familiar with Kurt and Cindy Nygaard, owners of Downtown 140 - a Ohio restaurant who is hosting a fundraiser to benefit the TNBC Foundation this October. As if their tremendous efforts on our behalf were not enough, the Nygaards have come up with yet another opportunity to help us raise awareness and funds. Cindy has been selling a beautiful silver and freshwater pink pearl pendant necklace at her boutique to help promote awareness in her local community. The necklace is engraved with the powerful words "Believe For a Cure". The Nygaards have been donating $20 from the sale of each necklace to the TNBC Foundation.
