Although great strides have been made with respect to treatment of HER2 positive and hormone receptor positive breast cancer, triple negative breast cancer continues to account for a significant percent of lives claimed by breast cancer each year. There is an urgent need for targeted research and better treatment options for patients with triple negative tumors.

Attendance was limited to targeted doctors and researchers in this field and not open to the general public. Click here for a list of those in attendance.

The 2007 Triple Negative Breast Cancer Symposium brought together leading doctors, researchers and scientists from around the world for a "meeting of the minds." The Symposium included presentations on the current state of basic, translational, and clinical research in the area of triple negative breast cancer. Participants explored the most promising research leads in the area with a view towards developing a roadmap for future research.
